Villa Horto is located in Ipši, a quiet village near Livade, right in the very heart of northern Istria — a region celebrated for its truffles, award-winning wines and exceptional olive oils. The landscape here is defined by rolling hills, stone-built towns, forests rich in aromas and long rows of vineyards that change colour with every season.
This part of Istria is often described as the region’s culinary and cultural soul. Within just a few minutes’ drive, you can explore Livade, the truffle capital of Croatia, where autumn festivals fill the streets with the unmistakable scent of fresh white truffles. Motovun Forest, known worldwide for its truffle-rich soil, lies just below the famous hilltop town of Motovun — a place of medieval charm, cobblestone streets and breathtaking viewpoints that stretch all the way to the Alps on a clear day.
